Customer Reviews
The Sequoia strawberry produces a luscious large wedge shaped strawberry. Not surprising it is one of the berries of personal choice among strawberry growers for its sweetness without the typical tartness that many associate with strawberries. Sequoia strawberries are not favored well for large commercial growers due to the fact that they don't ship well but they are a great choice for the home gardener or roadside fruit stand! Frangaria Ananassa 'Sequoia' is a hybrid berry that was originally developed for the coastal areas of California, but works well in USDA Zones 4-8. In warmer climates like California and Southern States the Sequoia variety will grow like an everbearing strawberry and produce strawberries from spring to fall frost. In cooler climates the Sequoia strawberry plant will produce a much long and earlier June bearing harvest than other June bearing varieties. Resistant to powdery mildew.
Great Stock and Service
This spring I've bought raspberry, strawberry, and cherry tree starts from Boston Road Farm. Everything is thriving, and those I had shipped arrived in 48 hours. Great service in person as well. Highly recommend this business for new garden or supplementing an existing one.
