Customer Reviews
As the name implies, the Heritage Everbearing Raspberry is the classic heirloom red raspberry variety. With Good size, flavor and dark red color, Heritage is the heirloom raspberry variety, which set the standard for which all other raspberries are judged against. Great for fresh eating, freezing, canning, jams, jellies and just about anything else you can do with a raspberry! Heritage is a strong, productive and very vigorous raspberry variety, even in poor soils, but can suffer from root rot in poorly drained sites. Grows in zones 4-8 and is very winter hardy, surviving temperatures down to -20 F. These canes spread suckers prolifically and spread rapidly. These raspberries produce an abundant crop in the fall, but will also produce a smaller crop in the early summer.
Heritage Raspberry
is such an all around excellent variety that it won an award from the American Society of Horticultural Sciences in 2004 for "Outstanding Fruit Cultivar".
These plants are dormant bare root canes from 2 year old plants that were originally over 3 feet tall, similar to what you would find in garden centers in a 2 gallon pot. The tops have been pruned back to promote branching.
Great Stock & Service
This spring I've bought raspberry, strawberry, and cherry tree starts from Boston Road Farm. Everything is thriving, and those I had shipped arrived in 48 hours. Great service in person as well. Highly recommend this business for new garden or supplementing an existing one.
